Lock and Tech USA is a New York security installer working out of Brooklyn. We put in and service cameras, alarms, intercoms and access control, and every job is done by our own technicians – no subcontractors. This site covers one part of that work: security cameras and CCTV for apartment buildings, brownstones, stores, offices and warehouses across the five boroughs. The rest of what we do is on our main site, lockandtech.com.
Camera jobs here rarely start with bare walls. About four in ten homes in the city sit in buildings put up before 1940, and in many walk-ups the coax from an old analog system is still there, able to carry HD video to new cameras. About half of New Yorkers live in buildings of 20 or more apartments, so lobbies, package rooms and stairwells head the plan. Brownstone owners want the stoop and the yard watched without cable on the facade. At stores with roll-down gates, it's a dome that can take a hit plus an infrared camera on the back alley. Offices and warehouses often have several locations, and every site goes in one app. We drive out from Brooklyn for all of it, usually 20 to 40 minutes on weekdays.
A technician walks your entries, picks the spot for the recorder and maps every cable path, then writes up the estimate with labor and materials as separate lines.
The same technician who did the survey runs the install. Cable goes through chases, closets and drop ceilings, and each camera is aimed while you watch the live feed.
We check every camera in daylight and after dark, set up the app on your phone and hand over the contract, equipment list and warranty terms. After that, our office in Brooklyn helps by phone and email on weekdays.
We're rated 4.9 on Google. On camera jobs, reviewers keep coming back to the same few things: wiring that's neat, an install that left the property clean, someone taking the time to walk them through the system and the app, and cameras put in at several of their locations.
Weekdays 8 AM–6 PM. A technician is usually on site in 20 to 40 minutes, and the walkthrough is free.
